How Chase Card Prices Work (and Why They Change)
Our prices are TCGplayer market prices retrieved through the open TCGdex API. TCGplayer describes market price as a figure based on recent completed sales. We store a snapshot with its date; we never invent or average prices ourselves.
Why prices move
- Supply rises as more product is opened after release, often pushing prices down.
- Reprints, tournament play and social media trends shift demand.
- Grading (PSA, CGC, BGS) creates separate, much higher price tiers we do not cover.
Good practice
Treat any snapshot as a starting point. Before a deal, check the live listing and sold history on two marketplaces.
